ΤΜΗΜΑ ΜΗΧΑΝΙΚΩΝ ΧΩΡΟΤΑΞΙΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗΣ  Α.Π.Θ LOGO

Since 2018-2019 academic year, the School of Spatial Planning and Development of the AUTH Faculty of Engineering offers a new Postgraduate Programme entitled: “Spatial Planning for Sustainable and Resilient Development”.

Candidates accepted to the Postgraduate Programme must be graduates of Greek Higher Education Institutions or recognized foreign institutions of equivalent status. In the latter case, recognition of the equivalence of degree from the Hellenic NARIC (DOATAP in Greek) needs to be submitted. Knowledge of English (Level B2) is required at time of enrollment.

To be awarded the Postgraduate Studies Degree (Master΄s Degree) in "Spatial Planning for Sustainable and Resilient Development," postgraduate students are required to successfully complete the courses in two semesters and their Postgraduate Diploma Thesis (Master Thesis), corresponding to a total workload of 75 ECTS. The 1st semester comprises 5 theoretical courses covering basic theoretical components of the programme΄s subject. The 2nd semester comprises of: (a) 3 theoretical courses, (b) a project studio, in which students are trained in spatial planning of resilient metropolitan areas, and (c) a seminar course with the participation of invited speakers that covers up to date research issues. During the summer period, postgraduate students work on their Postgraduate Diploma Thesis, which they present in public and are examined on it.
The successful attendance of the Program leads to the degree of Diploma of Graduate Studies (D.G.S.).

The Postgraduate Program operates without tuition fees.
